As the Deputy would be aware, my Department is in the process of setting up a clinical review group to examine the findings of the Health Research Board’s evidence synthesis publication. The clinical review group will recommend to the Minister if, in its opinion, there is or is not sufficient evidence in the HRB’s report to expand the current range of conditions covered by the Medical Cannabis Access Programme. It is too early at this stage to pre-empt the outcome of the recommendations that the clinical review group will make to me as Minister for Health.
