268. To ask the Minister for Health the steps being taken to ensure that all samples for familial genomic testing are sent to the same laboratory, be it in Europe or the United States, from hospitals here in Ireland; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [40696/24]

As this is a service matter, I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond to the Deputy directly, as soon as possible.

To ask the Minister for Health if he is aware that a risk assessment submitted to the HSE in 2010 identified increasing clinical risk with the dispatching of genomic samples to multiple laboratories outside this jurisdiction; the actions taken to date to ameliorate these risks; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
