The Office of Public Works (OPW) is responsible for the maintenance of arterial drainage schemes and flood relief schemes completed under the Arterial Drainage Acts, 1945 and 1995, as amended.

The location concerned forms part of the Maine Arterial Drainage Scheme. Officials from the OPW South West Drainage Maintenance section attended the site to carry out an inspection on Thursday 26^th September, 2024 and have also made contact with the property owner. It has been established that the OPW maintenance requirements are minor and the works will be carried out in the coming months.

Local OPW staff will continue to engage with the property owner directly.
