343. To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if he is aware of the shortages in black-leg vaccines for farmers; the measures he has explored to address the issue; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [37860/24]

There are several Irish authorised products for vaccination to protect against blackleg (caused by a bacterium called Clostridium chauvoei).
Despite a decrease in the availability of some of these vaccines, I am advised that market data indicates that overall supply of clostridial vaccines to the market is adequate to meet demand.
Whilst, periodically, a specific brand/type of Clostridial vaccine may be in limited supply, alternatives are generally available.
