I wish to inform the Deputy that this teacher was employed in a substitute/part-time capacity for the school year 2023/2024. Department of Education Circular 61/2010 specifies the situations where payment is made for the summer months. The teacher has no entitlement to summer payment in 2024.

The teacher has commenced a CID post for the school year 2024/2025 and she will be paid from Sept 2024 to the end of August 2025 which includes payment over all school closure periods.
