To ask the Minister for Health if he is aware that referrals for occupational therapy in the Dublin south, Kildare and west Wicklow primary care region are taking 26 months from the original date of referral, for both assessment and issuing of equipment; his views on whether this is acceptable; what efforts the HSE is making to ensure a timely service in occupational therapy in the area; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As this is a service matter, I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond to the Deputy directly, as soon as possible.
