237. To ask the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform if his Department or any agency under the aegis of his Department operates a ‘barter account’ for the provision of goods or services; if so, if payments have been directed to be made to a barter account during the period 2011 to date; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I wish to advise the Deputy that my Department does not operate a barter account for the provision of goods or services. Therefore, no payments have been directed to a barter account from 2011 to date. This is also the position with regard to the bodies under the aegis of my Department.
