281. To ask the Minister for Health the policy of the HSE on the services provided by chiropractors privately; if there is any equivalent service from the HSE; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [38282/16]

Chiropractors are not a regulated health profession and are not employed in the public health sector. Neuromuscular and musculoskeletal services are provided in the public health service by physiotherapists in both hospital and community care settings. Neither the Minister nor the HSE has any role in the provision of services by chiropractors in the private sector.
