Question 577: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government the numbers of persons employed by local authorities earning over €100,000 per annum, the positions for which they receive these wages and the section they work in. [26685/12]

As of 31 March, 2012 there were 235.8 local authority staff on salary scales the maximum points of which are in excess of €100,000, made up of City and County Managers, Assistant Managers and Directors of Service.
