Question 212: To ask the Minister for Transport if his attention has been drawn to the concerns of the Dundalk retailers association regarding the pedestrian, parking and transport plans for the town centre, if he will ensure that the DRA is consulted regarding the plans prior to any final decision being made; the amount of money involved in the project; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I take it that the Deputy is referring to issues raised by some retailers in the context of the bid submitted to my Department by Dundalk Town Council as part of the Smarter Travel Areas Competition. As no decision has yet been announced in relation to that competition it would not be appropriate for me to comment on any of the applications.
