I did not have the opportunity to meet my counterpart during my visit to Australia for the 2024 St. Patrick’s Day. However, I did meet Amber Jade Sanderson, the Minister for Health for Western Australia, while in Perth.

I did however meet Minister Mark Butler in Geneva in May. I was invited to participate in roundtable discussions on the effects of technology, digital media, and screen time on mental health, as part of a meeting organised by Sweden during the World Health Assembly in Geneva in 27 May – 1 June 2024. This meeting was attended by Health Ministers from Sweden, Ireland and Australia and a number WHO experts.
