I understand the Deputy is referring specifically to road fatalities. The investigation of fatal road traffic collisions is a matter for An Garda SÃochána and consequently I would not have the details that the Deputy requires. According to the Road Safety Authority the economic cost of a fatality is â¬2.9 million and for a serious injury the figure is â¬0.40 million.
