Thomas Byrne: That was part of the application matrix and the scoring system. On the exact mechanics, I suppose there will be engagement between the Department and the associations or clubs. That will realistically be after Christmas. There is no point saying they will hear soon. There is other work to do, but the Kinsale application is valid and that is good news. They will be on the reserve list.

I am from west Cork, where tourism and hospitality are the biggest indigenous employers. They are finding it difficult and are going through a tough time at the moment.
