I move amendment No. 11:

In page 21, between lines 32 and 33, to insert the following:

“Non-application of Act

3. (1) This Act does not apply to gambling activities carried on, by or on behalf of any organisation— (a) that is a registered charitable organisation under the Charities Act 2009, and

(b) that has a charitable or philanthropic purpose, which shall be construed in accordance with section 87(4), and is designated by the Authority in accordance with subsection (2). (2) Provided such activities are for the sole benefit of the organisation or organisations.

(3) The Minister may make regulations setting out requirements in relation to the operation of subsection (1)(b).”.
